Our marketing partners, the Arizona Diamondbacks, are offering free tickets to kids 12 and under with the purchase of a full-price adult ticket. The offer is valid for games May 25-26 for any section in the ballpark, excluding the All-You-Can-Eat section. Kids are encouraged to arrive early on May 26 to catch the Sunday Sluggers Show, presented by Delta Dental of Arizona, at Baxter’s Den in the Sandlot starting at 11:45 a.m. and features an appearance by a D-backs player.
While you’re there, stop by the D-backs Club HQ and have the kids pledge to say NO to spit tobacco. Sponsored by Delta Dental of Arizona, the No Chew Crew brings awareness to the dangers of spit tobacco with the goal of preventing children throughout the state of Arizona from starting its use. The No Chew Crew is free for children age 15 and younger and provides a free toothbrush and free kids admission to the Sunday home games.
More than one million children in the United States will try some form of spit tobacco (aka smokeless tobacco, dip, snuff, chew, or chewing tobacco) this year alone, with more than 300,000 of them becoming regular users. The use of spit tobacco is one of the leading contributors to oral disease, including cavities, receding gums and oral cancer. Researchers believe that young people are influenced by seeing professional athletes using chewing tobacco in public settings or during televised games. Together, the D-backs and Delta Dental of Arizona are committed to encouraging healthy lifestyles and smiles.
Adult tickets for the weekend games start at just $12 and are available at the Chase Field Box Office or by calling 602.514.8400.
