Mouth-Healthy Recipe: Caprese Pasta Salad

Packed with juicy tomatoes, creamy mozzarella and fresh basil, this Caprese Pasta Salad is a feel-good dish that supports your overall health. Fresh basil contains anti-inflammatory properties, and mozzarella provides calcium to help strengthen your teeth and bones. Tossed with whole grain pasta, this light and flavorful salad is a nutrient-packed option for picnics or quick lunches.

Ingredients:

  • Grape tomatoes (sliced in half or quartered)
  • Mozzarella pearls
  • Chopped fresh basil
  • Whole grain pasta (you can use any shape you like)
  • Olive oil
  • Balsamic vinegar
  • Lemon juice
  • Italian seasoning
  • Salt
  • Pepper

Directions:

  • Make the balsamic dressing by adding olive oil, balsamic vinegar, lemon juice, garlic, Italian seasoning, salt and pepper to a small bowl or jar with a lid. Whisk or shake until all ingredients are incorporated. Set aside.
  • Cook the pasta according to the package directions in a large pot of salted water. Drain and rinse with cold water.
  • In a large bowl, add cooked pasta, tomatoes, mozzarella pearls and basil.
  • Toss everything together and drizzle with vinaigrette dressing. Taste and adjust seasoning. Enjoy!
