Mouth-Healthy Recipe: Carrot-Apple Cabbage Coleslaw

This vibrant blend of crunchy cabbage and carrots tossed with sweet apple slices not only delights your taste buds, but it also promotes good oral and overall health.

Ingredients:

For the coleslaw:

  • ½ small red cabbage, sliced
  • 2 cups carrots, shredded
  • 1 red apple, sliced
  • ½ red onion, chopped
  • ½ cup fresh parsley, chopped
  • ¼ cup pumpkin seeds

For the dressing:

  • 1 cup Greek yogurt
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 2 teaspoons honey
  • 1 teaspoon pepper

Directions:

  1. Wash all salad ingredients before cutting.
  2. Add cabbage, carrots, apple, onion, parsley, and pumpkin seeds to a large serving bowl.
  3. Add the remaining ingredients in a smaller bowl; mix well.
  4. Pour the dressing over the slaw mixture and toss until well combined.
