Mouth-Healthy Recipe: Pumpkin Pie Smoothie

Craving something sweet and cozy but still want to keep it healthy? This pumpkin pie smoothie has all the flavors of fall in a nourishing blend. Pumpkin is packed with vitamin A for eye health, flaxseed adds fiber and omega-3s for digestion and heart health and banana brings natural sweetness and potassium. It’s a creamy, crave-worthy treat you can feel good about sipping any time of day!

Ingredients

  • 1/3 cup pumpkin purée 
  • 1 frozen banana 
  • 1 Tbsp ground flaxseed 
  • 1/4 tsp pumpkin pie spice 
  • 1 cup milk of your choice
  • 1/4 tsp vanilla extract 
  • 1 tsp brown sugar (or sweetener of your choice)

Directions

  1. Add the pumpkin, frozen banana, flaxseed, pumpkin pie spice, milk and vanilla in a blender. Blend until smooth.
  2. Add the brown sugar (or sweetener of choice) and blend again. Taste and adjust the sweetness to your liking. Enjoy cold.
