Tooth decay is nearly 100% preventable, yet it is the most common chronic disease in children.

Thankfully, organizations across the state are working to combat dental disease in children, youth and pregnant mothers. In February, the Delta Dental of Arizona Foundation awarded $450,000 in community grant funding to 37 such organizations. The programs funded by these grants promote good oral health practice and increase access to safe and effective preventive dental care, particularly among the underserved and uninsured.

2013FoundationGrantees_infographicIf you know of an organization helping to improve the oral health of Arizona children under 18 and/or pregnant mothers, encourage them to apply for funding through our 2013-2014 Community Grants Program. Organizations have until October 3, 2013 to apply for one, two or three-year grants ranging from $1,000 to $25,000.
